Chemours is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join our growing Washington Works team! This position will report directly to the PTFE Operations Manager at our Washington, WV location. The Maintenance Coordinator provides solutions that optimize asset capacity and availability as well as Cost of Manufacture (COM) utilizing scheduling and Work Management Processes (WMP) to define and manage work required for maintenance and contractor activities. The Maintenance Coordinator utilizes scheduling tools and (WMP) to understand the asset's availability and resources required to perform required maintenance tasks on a daily/weekly basis and provides scope for major turnarounds (TAR). This role will develop scheduling for daily work and work with site scheduling to implement the WMP in the unit.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED equivalent
3 - 5 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Experience scheduling daily maintenance activities and turnarounds
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel; ability to quickly learn new systems
Time management and prioritization skill

Nice To Haves

High hazard/chemical experience
Leadership ability, primarily through influence management
Effective communication and presentation skills (both oral and written)
Proficient in scheduling applications, such as SAP-PM
Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with ability to influence managers, peers and team.

Responsibilities

Utilize the WMP for planning and scheduling of maintenance work in the area
Convert work notifications to work orders
Align on production priorities and equipment availability with the Production Leader to set appropriate priority for each work order
Engage with Production Leader when Production and Maintenance priorities conflict to determine appropriate priority
Provide proposed schedule to Production Leader for regulatory inspection, test, and restoration work as defined for the asset(s)
Manage the work order backlog.
Manage all PM25’s (PSM and Non-PSM) to ensure they are completed when required. Generate extensions to prevent overdue PM’s
Align on scope of maint. work with Maintenance Supervisor, Planner, and Contract Administration (if needed) and determine if work is to be resourced internally or externally
Financially authorize and release work orders that have been prioritized by the Production Leader (date set)
Prepare Weekly schedules for Maintenance and align with the Site Master Scheduler
Facilitate the daily and weekly maintenance scheduling meetings to ensure plan for maintenance is on target for execution in alignment with Production Leader and Maintenance Supervisor
Coordinate attendance of additional resources at the daily and weekly maintenance scheduling meetings, as necessary
For emergency work, collect options and coordinate attainment of appropriate resources and materials
For maintenance. work that is not Ready to Schedule (RTS), verify priority & revision if desired date cannot be achieved
Communicate maintenance activities to production organization to ensure proper preparedness (rate reduction, decontamination, lockout, etc.) – align with Operations Production Supervisor to ensure timely work
Verify equipment readiness before deployment of maintenance resources on day of scheduled work execution
Align on schedule breaks with Operations Production Supervisor and communicates impacts to scheduled work that will be moved outside of current week’s schedule (for rescheduling with Production Leader)
Validate acceptable completion of all steps of maintenance/engineering activities. Collects options, facilitates compromised solution discussion when activities fail to restore the asset appropriately
Facilitate timely turnover of equipment to Operations Production Supervisor after Maintenance work has been completed and remove field tags (if applicable)
Review work order and ensure authorization of additional costs as needed to TECO work order
Create follow-up Notification for new scopes of work (if required) to review with Production Leader
Gain authorization for proactive MRO solutions change in inventory levels (loss production vs. inventory holding costs analysis) as supported by operations leadership
Coordinate Plan and Schedule business unit outage work
Develop and maintain an evergreen maintenance schedule for the unit
Develop and maintain metrics to track Schedule and Cost KPI’s (key performance indicators)
Participate as member of the unit TAR Steering Team
