Requirements

  • High School or equivalent
  • 5 years of manufacturing experience, as a machine operator

Responsibilities

  • Operate the labeler on the Aseptic line, including verifying glue/flow levels, temperature, cleaning schedule, replenishing inventory, loading labels, verifying label application, entering data in Sherlock, collecting samples, following changeover procedures, and managing the printing machine (ink, application, speed).
  • Operate the palletizer on the Aseptic line, verifying packaging size, correct film, case stickers, palletizing pattern, correct pallet, number of cases, skid wrapping, and skid labeling.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, product quality, food, and employee safety.
  • Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls.
  • Perform equipment set up for daily production, including mechanical setup and correct recipes.
  • Assist in mold changeover during size changes for the SBO.
  • Respond quickly to alarms to adjust equipment and prevent downtime.
  • Prevent machine downtime and monitor machine operations.
  • Troubleshoot machinery when product quality deficiencies appear or when machinery malfunctions.
  • Follow start-up and shut-down procedures on the checklist of all equipment related to Sidel equipment.
  • Discuss problems with the supervisor, maintenance, quality control personnel, and other operators.
  • Maintain processes by recording all data such as cycles, frequency, downtime, and faults, using the computer system Sherlock.
  • Inspect the finished product.
  • Follow GMP’s protocol in and outside of the Aseptic line.
  • Follow all safety rules and requirements.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties such as sweeping, picking up debris, etc. to keep the area clean.
  • Clean & sanitize the floor at least once during the shifts.
  • Perform other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
