About The Position

United Gasket is hiring a full-time Production Machine Operator at its Cicero, Illinois location. The position is on the first shift, Monday through Friday, with a starting wage of $15.50 per hour; a higher starting rate may be available based on experience and qualifications. Training is available, and manufacturing experience is a plus but not required. The role involves operating production machinery to process rubber and other materials, inspecting and packaging finished parts, and working with a team to meet production goals. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math and measuring skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities

Operate production machinery to cut, slit, fabricate, and assemble rubber and other materials.
Load materials into machines and monitor equipment during production.
Check finished products for accuracy and quality.
Measure, inspect, and package completed parts.
Follow production orders, work instructions, and safety procedures.
Record production information and report equipment concerns.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Work with the team to meet daily production goals.
