The Production Machine Operator will operate various machines, including the lathe, punch press, saw/shear, and press brake, according to print specifications and within allowed tolerances to produce quality parts. The role also involves inspecting parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 specifications and standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years of experience with machines or machine drawing.
- Experience with blueprint reading and precision instruments.
Responsibilities
- Operates machines to produce Martin tools and products according to established quality standards and timelines.
- Machines parts by manually setting up and adjusting tooling for turning, boring, threading, grooving, drilling, chamfering, punching, and forming.
- Saws and shears materials to various sizes for subsequent processes.
- Calculates necessary machine adjustments.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, and bills of materials to produce required parts.
- Performs layout, setup, and operation of machines (saws, shears, lathes, mills, drills, punch presses, press brake, deburring equipment) using precision measurement tooling according to ISO 9001 standards.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area and equipment, adhering to safety regulations.
