Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Complete Level 1 and Level 2 Machine Operator on-site as a Junior Machine Adjuster to move into Adjuster Supervisor Role
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Effective listening, speaking & writing ability in person and on the phone
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and quality instructions, and procedural manuals
  • Ability to complete routine reports and records and write clearly and concisely, using good grammar and professional style
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Self managing with organization and time management skills
  • Must have good eyesight (no colorblindness) in order to spot flaws in color comparison, print set-up, etc. as bags or film come off the production line

Nice To Haves

  • 2-5 years food/corrugated packaging machine experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide production support for the entire duration of the shift
  • Monitor/maintain and cover 2-3 production lines during shift
  • Troubleshoot and correct jams, misfeeds, timing issues, poor seals, and handling problems
  • Supports machine setup, order changes and operations
  • Coach and guide machine operator functions for consistent uptime and elimate downtime
  • Conducts preventative maintenance supports with cross functional teams
  • Set up equipment for product, size, print, and material changes
  • Adjust guides, rails, belts, sensors, timing, tension, and registration
  • Perform rebuilds on reusable parts such as : Glue nozzles, splash guards drum finger assembly etc.
  • Submit accurate production reports daily and in a timely manner
  • Comply with and enforce all safety policies and procedures, i.e.: proper PPE usage, machine guarding, LOTO etc. are following strictly
  • Ensure adherence to all quality practices and standards
  • Follow and enforce all GMP’s and SQF requirements
  • Support and recommend improvement strategies relating to safety, production output, and quality
  • Monitor product being run, making sure hourly samples are taken in order to inspect quality and catch any defects and unnecessary waste
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management, including food safety
