About The Position

The Production Line Worker performs a variety of manufacturing production roles, including assembly line work, machine operation, material handling, and fabrication. The role may involve manually assembling fabricated or cast couplings, clamps, and/or saddles, inspecting and gauging work for quality, and meeting production quality and quantity standards. Workers must be willing to work various shifts and weekends when required, as well as overtime as needed to support plant operations. The work environment includes an indoor climate-controlled office and a plant manufacturing environment, with possible prolonged exposure to indoor and outdoor environments. The role also includes participating in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities.

Requirements

Three to twelve months of experience in a manufacturing production environment.
Ability to read and write and follow instructions.
Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed and work multi-shift operations.
Ability to work with light to average weight materials.
Ability to follow detailed work orders and modify them through supervision or a lead person as required.
General manufacturing production knowledge and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

Manually assemble fabricated or cast couplings, clamps, and/or saddles.
Perform production operations requiring continual eye-hand coordination.
Maintain production quality and quantity standards.
Inspect and gauge work for quality.
Communicate with production supervisors, machine operators, managers, and other support personnel.
Contribute positively as a team member and work well with others.
Participate in training activities, both on and off site.
Document and maintain required records and follow up on deficiencies.
Follow safety policies and procedures and actively participate in site safety programs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Participate in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities.
