Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive manufacturing experience.
  • Previous experience leading production teams in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot production equipment.
  • Experience supporting preventive maintenance programs.
  • Proven ability to improve productivity, quality, and operational performance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing leadership experience in HVAC, sheet metal fabrication, industrial equipment, or machinery manufacturing.
  • Experience with CNC-controlled fabrication equipment.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen experience.
  • Welding, fabrication, or assembly knowledge.
  • ERP/MRP system experience.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Experience with Flow Water Jet Systems.
  • Experience with CNC Press Brakes.
  • Experience with AMADA Fabrication Equipment.
  • Experience with Copper Tube Bending Machines.
  • Experience with Multi-Press Hydraulic Press Systems.
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication and assembly equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop production employees while fostering a positive team culture.
  • Monitor production schedules and resolve issues that impact efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Troubleshoot production equipment and work with maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Support preventive maintenance programs and recommend equipment improvements.
  • Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce waste.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and quality standards.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and support employee development and cross-training.
