This role is for a Production Line Leader who is responsible for production line employees. Key responsibilities include staffing, training, achieving efficiency standards, ensuring a quality product is produced, and meeting scheduled completion dates. The leader will track downtime and corrective actions in coordination with the Manufacturing Supervisor. They will work with the Assistant Supervisor to ensure training is achieved, work orders are communicated, setups are completed, and the correct tooling and fixtures are available for the jobs. The position requires collecting and reporting on key production data, leading 5S and continuous improvement activities on their respective lines, and supporting department and site-wide efforts. The role also involves performing candle maker activities when assigned to assist or relieve, and accurately entering weight data into the QA weight database. Adjustments to valves may be required, along with data entry into the computer system, logging pallets, and conducting in-process inspections. Collaboration with the Pour Technician is essential for machine setup and timely material retrieval. The leader must read and understand MAPs and deviations, organize and monitor workflow to meet quality, efficiency, and daily goals, and maintain/verify line data entry including weights, temperatures, rejection reports, and WO signoffs. The ability to lead and direct operators, resolve personnel issues, and run all lines (A-J) is crucial. Knowledge of wax types and characteristics, quick issue identification, root cause analysis, and solution implementation are expected. The leader will coordinate corrective actions with minimal supervision and work effectively with multiple departments. They will also ensure systematic rotation of personnel for cross-training, safety, and ergonomic reasons, and possess the knowledge and ability to operate various machines and utilize hand tools and a hand jack.
