About The Position

The Production Line Lead will be responsible for the setup and startup of production lines at the beginning of the day. This role requires attention to detail for appropriate paperwork and product completion. Line Leaders must comply with departmental safety requirements, contribute to the quality improvement process, and effectively interface and communicate within the department.

Requirements

Ability to check the daily schedule to verify line assignments.
Ability to fill out the production worksheet and production transfer tickets.
Ability to read work orders to understand job assembly expectations.
Ability to utilize the “before startup checklist” sheet.
Ability to assure line staffing meets the product standard and employees are placed in proper positions.
Ability to instruct employees on tasks.
Ability to verify counts of pallet patterns.
Ability to ensure all pallets are pulled off the line at the end of the shift.
Compliance with departmental safety requirements.
Contribution to the quality improvement process.
Ability to interface and communicate within the department.

Responsibilities

Check the daily schedule to verify line assignments.
Fill out the production worksheet and production transfer tickets the day prior to the actual production run.
Read work orders to understand job assembly expectations.
Utilize the “before startup checklist” sheet to ensure accuracy of components, code, equipment, etc., for an efficient startup.
Assure line staffing meets the product standard and employees are placed in proper positions.
Instruct all employees on the tasks to be performed.
Place a transfer ticket on completed pallets only after counts of pallet patterns have been verified.
Ensure all pallets are pulled off the line at the end of the shift.
Comply with departmental safety requirements.
Contribute to the quality improvement process.
Interface and communicate within the department.
