About The Position

In the Production Leader role, leadership, administrative support, and coordination to the assigned production related department is ensured for conformance to schedule and procedures. This role requires advanced computer skills and the ability to meet daily production schedules. The Production Leader communicates necessary information to support departments and line personnel, verifies inventory, and ensures processes are followed for current and future orders. They utilize staffing requirements to maintain or improve productivity, assist with orientation and training of line employees, and perform continuous on-the-job training for various skill levels of full-time and temporary associates. This role also involves monitoring and addressing team member performance and production non-conformance, advising supervisors of situations, and training, monitoring, and enforcing safety procedures and policies. Accurate counting and recording of consumed components in SAP, maintaining line and equipment cleanliness, proper storage of supplies, and coordinating machine changeovers are also key responsibilities. Basic troubleshooting of printers (FoxJet, Video Jet, Iconotech, and Domino Laser Coder) is required. The Production Leader serves as support to other production team members and reconditions product as instructed.

Requirements

  • High School education with a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a lead/supervisory role OR Associates/technical degree with two (2) to three (3) years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to use basic measuring equipment, computer, and a calculator.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience with FoxJet, Video Jet, Iconotech, and Domino Laser Coder printers.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure conformance to schedule and procedures for the assigned production department.
  • Meet daily production schedule.
  • Communicate necessary information to support departments and line personnel.
  • Verify inventory needed for process orders.
  • Ensure process is followed for current and future orders.
  • Utilize staffing requirements to maintain or improve productivity.
  • Assist with orientation and training of all line employees.
  • Perform continuous on-the-job training for multiple skill levels of full-time and temporary associates.
  • Monitor and address performance of team members and production non-conformance.
  • Advise supervisor of situations.
  • Train, monitor, and enforce safety procedures and policies.
  • Monitor the proper counting and recording of components in SAP.
  • Maintain line and equipment, including Controlled Environment Suites, following housekeeping and cleanliness procedures.
  • Maintain proper storage and availability of production supplies.
  • Coordinate machine changeovers and general upkeep of line equipment.
  • Perform printer set-up and basic operation of FoxJet, Video Jet, Iconotech, and Domino Laser Coder.
  • Perform minor troubleshooting of printers.
  • Serve as support to other members of the production team.
  • Recondition product as instructed.
