About The Position

Avery Dennison Corporation is seeking a Production Lead for their Service Bureau equipment operations. This role involves running specified equipment, providing guidance to associates in the absence of a Production Supervisor, and assisting with customer directives, deliveries, changes, emergencies, and data issues. The Production Lead is responsible for minimizing waste, accurately logging time and materials using the ERP system, ensuring production quality standards are met, and maintaining inventory levels. This position also involves monitoring data arrival times and performing other assigned tasks to ensure objectives are met within allotted timeframes. Regular attendance and compliance with company policies, including those regarding a drug-free workplace and safety procedures, are essential.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or four years’ job-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Standing over 2/3 of the time daily.
  • Using hands to finger, handle or feel over 2/3 of the time daily.
  • Reaching with hands and arms.
  • Lifting between 25lbs and 50lbs 1/3 to 2/3 of the time daily.
  • Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) for quality control standards.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Compliance with applicable Company policies concerning maintaining a drug free workplace is required.
  • Compliance with all Company policies is required including all safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Run specified Service Bureau equipment as assigned and trained.
  • Provide guidance on jobs to associates in the absence of the Supervisor.
  • Assist Supervisor with customer required directives, deliveries, changes, emergencies, problems with data and special files by printing accurately and efficiently.
  • Minimize waste and misuse of raw materials.
  • Communicate effectively with fellow associates, customer service, and the supervisor.
  • Perform laser print functions by following daily job schedules, understanding customer needs and production schedules.
  • Use ERP system to log time and materials accurately.
  • Ensure all production quality standards are met by sampling, viewing, and checking as jobs are processed.
  • Help maintain equipment by placing service calls to appropriate service technicians.
  • Maintain all inventory levels and pre-printed items stored in the warehouse and on front shelving units, ensuring correct locations, neat stacking, and proper direction.
  • Ensure data from each customer arrives on time and alert a supervisor if it does not.
  • Follow other instructions given by supervisors and/or management to complete tasks, including distribution and machine room functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
