About The Position

The Production Lead will run specified Service Bureau equipment and take a lead role in making production and associate decisions in the absence of the Production Supervisor. This role involves guiding associates, assisting with customer directives, managing production schedules, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining inventory. The position requires accurate and efficient printing, minimizing waste, and effective communication with team members, customer service, and supervisors. The Production Lead will also use the ERP system for logging, assist with equipment maintenance, and ensure timely data arrival from customers. Regular attendance and compliance with company policies, including those for a drug-free workplace and safety procedures, are essential.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or four years’ job-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Standing over 2/3 of the time daily.
  • Using hands to finger, handle or feel over 2/3 of the time daily.
  • Reaching with hands and arms.
  • Lifting between 25lbs and 50lbs 1/3 to 2/3 of the time daily.
  • Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) for quality control standards.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Compliance with applicable Company policies concerning maintaining a drug free workplace is required.
  • Compliance with all Company policies is required including all safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Run the Service Bureau equipment as assigned and trained.
  • Provide guidance on jobs to associates in the absence of the Supervisor.
  • Assist Supervisor with customer required directives, deliveries, changes, emergencies, problems with data and special files by printing accurately and efficiently.
  • Minimize waste and misuse of raw materials.
  • Communicate well with fellow associates, customer service, and the supervisor while performing laser print functions by following daily job schedules.
  • Use ERP system to log time and materials accurately.
  • Ensure all production quality standards are being met by sampling, viewing, and checking as jobs are processed.
  • Help maintain equipment by placing service calls to appropriate service technicians.
  • Maintain all inventory levels and pre-printed items that are stored in the warehouse and in the front shelving units in the correct locations, ensuring they are stacked neatly and in the right direction.
  • Ensure that data from each customer is arriving on time, and if not, alert a supervisor.
  • Follow other instructions given by supervisors and/or management to complete other tasks, including distribution and machine room functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
