Production Lead A Shift Full Time RVI-Texarkana
About The Position
This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position is responsible for monitoring production throughout the processing phase and providing training for all new and existing team members while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Must have at least 6 months industrial machine operator work experience in the last 24 months
- Documented work experience in multiple areas of a rendering facility
- 6 months continuous employment with one employer within the past 12 months
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Standing for long periods of time
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Shoveling
- Climbing stairs and ladders up to 60 feet
- Bending, stretching, reaching
- Working in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors
- Use basic hand tools
- Perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions

- Further educational degree or certificate in a related field
- Leadership or supervisory experience
Responsibilities
- To maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture
- Receive training as required
- Perform various positions as required/assigned
- Monitoring production throughout the processing phase
- Providing training for all new and existing team members
- Maintaining a safe work environment
- Adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
- Monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly
- Notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance
- Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high-pressure hose logs
- Read and complete required logs
- Communicate with supervisor and co-workers via two-way radio
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Operate frontend loader, manlift, or forklift and will be required to obtain certification to do so
