About The Position

The Production Lead will support Shift Supervisors in a manufacturing and assembly environment. May plan and assign work as needed, follow and promote policies and procedures, assist with employee training and recommend and implement, improvements in production methods, equipment operating procedures and working conditions to ensure a safe and productive work environment.

Requirements

Demonstrated understanding of production processes
Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
Good communication, teamwork, and presentation skills.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with individuals at all levels.
Good organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Self-starter with demonstrated ability to achieve results and respond to change.
Working knowledge of MS Office
3+ years in a production or manufacturing environment
High School Diploma or GED

Lean manufacturing /six sigma training and experience

Responsibilities

Responsible for training Operators.
Assign Operators to train other Operators of lesser experience in specific tasks.
Schedule tasks to Operators based on directives from Production Supervisor and/or Assistant Production Supervisor.
Provide direction to Operators for daily duties
Provides criteria for material rejection during the manufacturing process
Verify proper equipment selection.
Will perform duties of Operator as needed.
