About The Position

RIX Industries is a technology-focused company specializing in the design, development and manufacturing of gas generation systems, precision compressor solutions, and cryogenic cooling technologies for critical applications in Marine, Aerospace, Land, Energy, Medical, and Critical Infrastructure markets. The Production Lead is responsible for maintaining the workload expected from a work cell by overseeing the training and skill set development of employees. A Production Lead will track and manage all day-to-day tasks involving production schedule changes, parts issues, and drawing issues within one or more work cells. The Lead will work alongside the Production Supervisor, Plant Manager and Engineers to keep the cell producing quality products.

Requirements

  • Two years' experience in manufacturing of mechanical devices.
  • Ability to perform calculations such as percentages, ratios and fractions.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to adapt to a variety of software applications.
  • Ability to understand the use and application of air and gas compressors and generators and basic manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to communicate with others to exchange information both orally and in writing.
  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or qualified U.S. Person in accordance with ALU 22CFR 120.15.
  • May require the ability to obtain DOD security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced course work or degree in business management or related field.
  • Specific experience in the manufacture of air and gas compressors and generators.

Responsibilities

  • Model and support a culture of always working safely.
  • Supports on time assembly and testing of compressors, sub-assemblies, and associated parts in order to maintain budget and ensure the highest quality products.
  • Maintain and control production plan.
  • Work with leadership to ensure the capacity of work area is sufficient to meet business needs.
  • When required, be prepared to report out of specifics of your assigned areas.
  • Ensures qualified staff is assigned to each area of operation.
  • Ensure work orders are assigned to staff with the knowledge, tools, and training to fulfill them.
  • Train associates on SOPs and best practices.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance schedules on vehicles, equipment, tools, test equipment as assigned.
  • Ensure each employee has adequate level supplies and tools for completion of assigned production engaging leadership when necessary.
  • Ability to read and understand structural drawings, schematics, and operating manuals, work with Engineers to aid in production issues.
  • Support the performance review process by preparing and documenting review materials, gathering feedback, and ensuring accurate records are maintained for each team member.
  • Approve and manage employee time and attendance records, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.
  • Review, coordinate, and approve time-off requests in alignment with production needs and staffing plans.
  • Ensure team members stay engaged and productive with projects assigned.
  • Serve as a liason between team members and leadership to support day-to-day administrative processes and ensure clear communciation.
  • Engage Materials and/or Production Supervisors when part issues arise.
  • Monitor the daily production progress and take corrective action to maintain schedules.
  • Perform all other duties in the best interest of the company or as directed by the Production Supervisor.
