About The Position

The Production Lead will oversee pre-op and/or tear down depending on the shift, coordinate line set-up, and review production issues, production schedule orders, and product specifications. This role involves working with other departments to prevent downtime and leading continuous improvement plant-wide. The Lead will assign personnel to work stations, provide direction and training, and recommend corrective actions for non-compliance. Responsibilities also include ensuring specification compliance, maintaining legible records for the line (lot tracking, waste, quality checks, product usage, production, and standards), and applying basic math skills for data entry. The position requires the ability to read and interpret various documents related to production and safety. This role is expected to cross-train in all lead areas related to production and packaging and requires working safely at all times. The Lead will be on the floor 95% of the shift and must be able to work a flexible schedule. Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly to understand work instructions, safety guidelines, document issues, and communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production reports.
  • Cross train in all lead areas related to production and packaging.
  • Must work safely at all times.
