About The Position

NOVO Health Services offers linen management solutions to the healthcare industry, focusing on safety and infection control. They provide partner hospitals with a value-driven linen management control system that measures and monitors linen utilization by department to eliminate excess internal costs. NOVO's regional healthcare linen facilities are HLAC accredited and operate with state-of-the-art processing equipment and processes. The Production Lead is responsible for directing, leading, and managing the soil department in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 3 to 5 years supervisory experience.
  • Ability to lift moderately heavy objects up to 30 pounds.
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
  • Demonstrated customer service, people, leadership, and organization skills with track record of achieving positive business results.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leads, directs, and trains assigned production team members in the performance of their assigned duties.
  • Motivates and ensures the team is meeting departmental goals and objectives, including maintaining high quality, safety, and productivity standards.
  • Participates in the interview process and makes hiring recommendations.
  • Maintains personnel records for reports, time sheets, and attendance.
  • Builds strong relationships with other department leaders and associates.
  • Interacts with other supervisors to establish maximum utilization of resources and to improve efficiency.
  • Implements processes that improve key performance indicators (i.e., quality, safety, cycle time).
  • Provides feedback to Plant Supervisor and Business Manager on ways to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the production process.
  • Develops, maintains, and enforces written procedures that support department functions and conducts corresponding training.
  • Proactively monitors the production process and adjusts schedules as needed.
  • Carries out special assignments as requested or assigned.
  • Continuously follows all safety policies and procedures on the job.
  • Understands, observes, and adheres to all safety procedures and policies.
  • Assists and performs other duties as assigned.
