About The Position

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Production Laborer based out of our Amite, LA plant. This role is responsible for supporting safe and efficient plant operations through general labor, housekeeping, and basic equipment support activities.

Requirements

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Positive, Team-based attitude
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• Be able to operate front end loader / skid steer
• Keep water pumped running to maintain fresh water to the plant
• Grease and inspect the plant
• Cross train to learn other plant duties
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
• Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
