About The Position

The Production Labor Scheduler is responsible for creating and posting the labor schedule based on information provided by the Supply Chain Department Scheduler. This role also involves managing employee requests for time off, handling absentee forms, coordinating new hire scheduling with buddies, and managing employee orders for company-related items. The position requires strong computer skills and may involve periodic weekend work.

Requirements

• Excel, Word, and other computer program experience required.
• Periodic weekend work required.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual language skills (fluent in English and Spanish) preferred.
• Scheduling background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and post the Labor Schedule based on labor information provided by the Supply Chain Department Scheduler.
• Update standards when requested.
• Receive calls from employees and inform employees of work schedule by phone if needed.
• Check all telephone messages from the office and attendance line number.
• Fill out the required absentee forms.
• Send absence information as requested to Managers and Supervisors, and forward paperwork to HR.
• Receive employees request for scheduled days off such as Vacation Requests and Request Off forms.
• Manage employee's ordering of boots, lunch bags, and the authorization form for company purchases.
• Schedule new hires with "buddies."
