About The Position

National Vision is seeking Production Lab Techs for various departments at their growing optical manufacturing facility. These roles are responsible for performing a variety of duties to expedite job orders through the manufacturing process efficiently. Associates will observe data on job orders, sort and organize jobs, utilize RF scanning, and perform department-specific tasks. Positions are available in the Surface and AR (anti-reflective coating) Departments.

• Prior mass production experience is preferred
• Prior machine operation experience is preferred
• Prior warehouse experience is preferred
• Prior related or optical experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Observe data on job orders
• Sort and organize jobs
• Utilize RF scanning
• Perform department specific tasks
• Backside coating (cleaning, spraying, wiping, loading lens in machine)
• Blocking and Deblocking, block prep
• Machine operation, taping, generating, polishing
• Lens washing (removing lens from block, rinsing, washing, drying)
• Sort and clean lenses
• Inspect lenses for imperfections
• Use ultrasonic cleaner to clean and rinse rings
• Operate AR coating machine
• Load lenses into sectors and machines
• Download lenses back into trays
• Sandblast sectors and panels
• Clean coating machines
