PEAK - Production Lab Intern
About The Position
PEAK is seeking ambitious and focused individuals for the PEAK Production Laboratory Internship in Shawano, Wis. This program allows interns to explore all aspects of PEAK Production, with a primary focus on research opportunities within the Production laboratories. Interns will gain in-depth knowledge of the bovine semen production process, learning and performing laboratory procedures to create semen products for beef and dairy farm operations. They will also have the opportunity to work with bulls at PEAK Production facilities. Throughout the summer, interns will undertake individual projects tailored to their interests and skillsets, and explore other career paths within PEAK and the URUS family.
Requirements
- Students pursuing an education within agriculture, biology, genetics or data science
- Currently attending a 2-year technical college or 4-year university
- Passionate about agriculture and innovation
- Willingness to learn and experience new things
Responsibilities
- Learn and perform laboratory processes to create semen products.
- Gain experience working with bulls in PEAK Production facilities.
- Perform individual projects structured around interests and skillsets.
- Explore career opportunities within PEAK and the URUS family.
