This role performs a variety of material handling functions to load, unload trailers and move materials within the plant. Capable of working with inventory control through utilization of ERP/MRP software. Familiar with and capable of using various types of lifting equipment. Required to perform other miscellaneous tasks as supervision deems necessary.

Requirements

Obtains and maintains active forklift certification.
Uses a variety of hand tools and material handling machines.
Reads and interprets blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific material requirements.
Utilizes scanning devices and technology to process inventory movements within the business system.

Capable of working with inventory control through utilization of ERP/MRP software.
Familiar with and capable of using various types of lifting equipment.

Responsibilities

Kits product according to work ticket requirements.
Studies work assignments to meet production schedules.
Receives incoming inventory into business system and follows company processes to place items into inventory.
Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and seals loaded truck doors as needed.
Inspects equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel.
Directs movement of kitted product to work areas.
Posts weight and shipping charges and prepares bills of lading, as needed.
Maintains and restocks the warehouse or parts cage while adjusting for errors.
Reads and interprets blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific material requirements.
Obtains and maintains active forklift certification.
Uses a variety of hand tools and material handling machines.
Performs cycle counts as required.
Utilizes scanning devices and technology to process inventory movements within the business system.
Completes all weekly, daily, and monthly 5S tasks.
