About The Position
Help Create Life Change Through Second Chances At New Horizons Thrift Stores, our cause is to help create life change through second chances, one purchase, one life at a time. The Production Jewelry & Accessories Associate is a motivated, dependable team member responsible for sorting, cleaning, pricing, and preparing donated items for resale and keeping the work area organized and clean. Additional tasks may be assigned at times by your supervisor. Consideration will be given to your current workload and duties.
Requirements
- Active Listening- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Speaking- Talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Coordination- Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
- Service Orientation- Actively looking for ways to help people.
- No previous experience required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare donated items for resale.
- Sort incoming used items by condition
- Clean items using designated tools and methods
- Perform basic touch ups or repairs when needed
- Organize and price cleaned inventory for resale. (occasionally, as needed on the team)
- Follow safety and cleanliness standards to maintain a clean and orderly working environment.
