About The Position

The Production Janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the entire plant, both inside and outside, including the parking lot and grounds around the building. The goal is to keep the facility as lint-free and clean as possible. This role involves emptying waste receptacles, recycling plastic bags, and adhering to standard operating procedures and quality standards.

Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies
Be able to work past the schedule, as production issues may arise
Be able to stand on feet up to 12 hours a day.
Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, and pulling.
Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly as required by the job.
Must be physically capable of performing overhead cleaning tasks, including blowing down lint from ceilings and elevated areas.
Must be able to work safely at elevated heights, in accordance with company safety policies and required training.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness of the plant, outside parking lot, and grounds around the building.
Keep the entire facility as lint-free and clean as possible.
Empty waste receptacles and recycle plastic bags in soil sort.
Follow standard operating procedures.
Meet quality standards.
Cross-train in other positions per production needs.
Drive resources to access elevated areas of the production floor and assist with blowing down/removing accumulated lint.
Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit.
