About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced or Senior Production/Inventory Coordinator (Level C or D) to join the Experimental Systems Group Program in Kennedy Space Center, Florida. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. The selected candidate will be required to work Second Shift, weekends, and overtime as required. This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required. Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position. This is a NASA safety-sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing. Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
  • More than 1 year of experience in the materials planning or inventory control process role in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift
  • Ability to walk, stand, climb and descend stairs, bend and lift items, package materials and unload materials from containers frequently throughout the shift
  • Experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced Level C: More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Senior Level D: More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in a computer based inventory management system or warehouse management system
  • Experience working on NASA/Defense programs
  • Experience in supply chain concepts and best-practices
  • Current U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Education (e.g. Vocational, Associate, Bachelor, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Expedites material to the production floor
  • Processes and moves production and other materials into and out of storage, production and other locations to support complex production and product support activities, flight test, etc.
  • Monitors and analyzes work in process
  • Updates status of parts and materials using automated systems
  • Identifies and reports problems and recommendations to insure parts availability
  • Analyzes problems and resolves or reconciles discrepancies with parts and materials to maintain inventory and system accuracy
  • Coordinates with various functions to set priorities, expedite and complete production activities to avoid schedule delays
