About The Position

This role ensures that all production activity is accurately reflected in the inventory management system in real time, with complete accountability for material usage, finished product transaction accuracy and traceability, and timely batch completion. The Production & Inventory Control Lead is accountable for overseeing the Inventory Control Team on their shift, ensuring alignment between physical production and system data while maintaining compliance with quality, safety, and financial standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong experience in inventory control, batch processing, and ERP systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in AX400/D365 preferred.
  • Intermediate Excel expertise level.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, multi-shift environment.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-shift coordination.
  • Fluent in English; bilingual preferred.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Reliable attendance required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all inventory accuracy, updates, and batch records-related activities during assigned shift.
  • Ensure effective shift handoffs and inventory status accuracy, including communication of: Open batch orders, Inventory discrepancies, Pending or incomplete transactions.
  • Maintain alignment across all three shifts to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Lead multifunctional analysis to explain inventory discrepancies and implement physical and system corrections.
  • Escalate unresolved risks impacting inventory accuracy or batch closure.
  • Direct the team and assist in executing and validating all inventory management system transactions during the shift, including: Finish Goods Reports (RAF), Material consumption and backflushing, Inventory transfers, adjustments, and returns.
  • Be the responsible person to ensure batch orders are reviewed, reconciled, and closed within the same shift whenever possible.
  • Validate that system transactions align with actual production in real time.
  • Perform reconciliation of material usage vs. system records.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to inventory, yields, and reporting errors.
  • Maintain full traceability of materials and finished goods.
  • Create periodical reports, including key performance indicators related to inventory control, for upper management and peers.
  • Perform routine inventory checks and request cycle counts during the shift.
  • Immediately address and escalate inventory variances to Inventory Supervisor.
  • Assist the Material Handler in ensuring all inventory movements are entered accurately and in real time.
  • Identify trends and implement corrective actions to reduce discrepancies.
  • Maintain audit-ready records at all times.
  • Ensure all batch documentation is complete and aligned with system data.
  • Coordinate with production and material handlers to ensure accurate material staging, receiving, usage, and reporting.
  • Monitor production to ensure alignment between physical operations and system transactions.
  • Resolve issues in real time that may impact inventory accuracy or batch completion.
  • Train and guide associates on inventory processes and system transactions.
  • Reinforce accountability for accurate reporting and material handling.
  • Support onboarding and cross-training with focus on inventory discipline.
  • Act as shift-level SME for the inventory management system and batch processing.
  • Ensure no backlog of transactions at end of shift.
  • Utilize RMS system and system data to identify and resolve inconsistencies.
  • Drive consistent system usage across all shifts.
  • Promote safe material handling practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and reduce waste.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and CAPA related to discrepancies.
  • Maintain 5S standards across work areas.
