Wide Angle Youth Media is seeking candidates for Production Interns. This is a full-time position designed to give young professionals a launchpad for a career in digital media. The position includes on-the-job training as Interns work on video and photography projects for real-world clients, encompassing pre-production, production, and post-production roles. Production work will occur on location throughout Maryland. Production Interns must be available on Mondays for planning meetings, training, and 1-on-1 coaching, and applicants must have a flexible schedule to join video production days based on client schedules, which typically occur Tues-Fri but sometimes fall on weekends. WAP ensures production days are communicated at least 2 weeks in advance. Wide Angle Productions utilizes a hybrid remote position; while video production, meetings, and editing work are done in-person, Slack and Google Meet are used for remote work if authorized by a supervisor. This is a 12-month position, with the option of continuing into a longer commitment. Interns will be enrolled in Service Year, a Maryland-based workforce development program running from August 2026 through July 2027. After completing Service Year, Interns can apply for an Arts2Work Apprenticeship position, which is also full-time and includes additional career development training, typically taking 6 months to complete. Hourly pay starts at $15.00, with full benefits (insurance, paid holidays, and paid vacation). Upon completion of Service Year, Interns will receive a $6,000 education bonus, as well as a raise as they move into the Arts2Work Apprenticeship.
