Requirements

Undergraduate Sophomore or Junior student majoring in Agriculture, Business, or a related field.
Previous experience in agriculture, production, research, or farming.
Solid understanding of key agricultural concepts.
Proficiency in using computers for data collection and inventory management.
Experience with instruments used to measure and record data.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of safe working practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

Assist with the production of high-quality seed corn by executing a variety of tasks based on field operations, bulk seed processing, warehousing, and distribution needs.
Schedule and dispatch vehicles for seed returns.
Set up and maintain packaging supplies (tags, bagger, FastFill containers).
Re-bag returned seed, including labeling, tagging, and palletizing.
Organize and manage inventory of bulk and bagged seed using an electronic system.
Collect seed samples for quality assurance.
Maintain positive relations with growers, contractors, and inspectors.
Conduct field inspections for quality checks.
