About The Position

SH America, Inc. is seeking motivated individuals for a Production Inspector role in their brand new facility in Roanoke, Indiana. This facility will be manufacturing Electric Vehicle battery parts in a temperature-controlled, cleanroom environment. The company is experiencing rapid growth and offers consistent opportunity for overtime. They aim to hire individuals who can contribute to a collaborative, positive, and engaging work environment. While experience is preferred, motivated individuals with strong teamwork characteristics are encouraged to apply and will receive necessary training. SH America has international locations producing parts for various industries including battery-operated tools, automobiles, cellular phones, and solar equipment.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Ability to read and interpret quality documents, forms, processes, blueprints, technical drawings
  • Detail-oriented individual
  • Ability to work efficiently in a growing industry that will become a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to commute to Roanoke, IN (Required)
  • Full-time availability
  • 1 year of Quality inspection experience (Preferred)
  • 1 year of Vision inspection system experience (Preferred)
  • 1 year of Automated optical inspection experience (Preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with assembly/manufacturing environment is preferred, but not required
  • Strong quality/inspection, production, manufacturing aptitude is helpful
  • Previous experience with a variety of measuring and gauging devices is helpful
  • Experience operating machines and/or working in a production environments
  • Day Shift availability (Preferred)
  • Night Shift availability (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the quality of product and materials in a production environment.
  • Inspects, conducts tests, analyzes, and measures product or material to determine if they meet or exceed customer expectations and standards.
  • Upholds safety regulations and adheres to quality standards.
  • Effectively and efficiently reports any issues or concerns to the Operator or Supervisor.
  • Recommends measures to improve product quality.
  • Recommends and introduces containment when required.
  • Maintains good housekeeping practices in all areas.
  • Contributes to the achievement of quality objectives by ensuring quality policies, procedures, and processes are followed at all times.
  • Prepares, reviews, and maintains Quality records appropriate to inspection and test activities to assure legibility, completeness, and correctness of the information.
