About The Position

HMGMA is the abbreviation of Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America. It is Hyundai Motor Group's first dedicated EV mass-production plant and is an innovative plant with cutting-edge production technology applied. This role involves supervising Team Leaders/Members in manufacturing/quality areas within an automotive manufacturing environment. The Production Group Leader will direct and coordinate the activities of multiple team leaders, plan work schedules to meet production goals, and inspect materials and equipment. They will demonstrate equipment operations, monitor work processes to ensure standards are met, and use independent judgment in assigning tasks. The role is accountable for team performance, implementing corrective actions, and addressing team member grievances. The Production Group Leader will support the management team, participate in hiring and evaluation processes, and confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations. Key responsibilities include meeting safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets, undertaking special assignments, and ensuring adherence to HMGMA policies and procedures. Building positive working relationships and complying with Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements are also essential. A strong command of the English language is required for effective communication and documentation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
1 – 5 years of job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise Team Leaders/Members in the manufacturing/quality areas in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Direct and coordinate the activities of multiple team leaders engaged in the production of automotive vehicles and their respective areas.
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Demonstrate equipment operations and work & safety procedures.
Observe work and monitor work processes to ensure that Team Members conform to production or processing standards.
Use independent judgment and discretion in assigning, distributing, and coordinating the work of the team, as appropriate.
Ensure quantity and/or quality of work is completed within a given timeframe based on Team Members’ skills, availability, and length of service.
Implement corrective action in accordance with HMGMA policy.
Accountable for the performance of the team.
Address or direct Team Member grievances/complaints for proper resolution.
Support management team in problem solving initiatives and production needs.
Participate in hiring and promotion activities as appropriate.
Participate in probationary evaluations and other evaluations of Team Members and provide recommendations as appropriate.
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
Responsible for safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets for assigned production areas.
Undertake special assignments as required by management.
Ensure Team Members adhere to HMGMA policies and procedures.
Ensure time input is properly completed and ensure other tasks are completed as required.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with Team Members and management.
Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
Meet all other requirements as assigned.
