About The Position

This position will rotate through various general laborer roles on the first shift, including scaler, block handler, and box runner/taper person. The role involves completing assigned tasks, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and performing other related duties as requested. Specific duties include checking and adjusting box weights, ensuring proper packaging, moving cases, and supplying patty stackers with boxes.

Requirements

Basic math, language, and reading skills.
Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly.
Ability to maintain a single task focus and situational awareness.
Must be able to move and lift up to 60-pound wooden skid or pallet.
Able to work in a cold refrigerated environment for up to 10 hours.

Responsibilities

Rotate through general laborer positions including scaler, block handler, and box runner/taper person for breaks, lunches, or as directed.
Complete tasks for the job that this position is rotating into for a short period of time.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
Perform other related duties as requested.
Check and adjust box weights as needed (Scaler).
Ensure plastic liners completely and securely cover the completed care prior to taping (Scaler).
May conduct box count checks (Scaler).
Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and operation (Scaler).
Move cases from the pallet to the microwave infeed belt following safe lifting guidelines (Block Handler).
Remove liner and push the block into position to feed grinder (Block Handler).
Responsible for keeping patty stackers supplied with boxes (Box Runner/Taper).
Take boxes off of the conveyor and move them to the patty stackers (Box Runner/Taper).
Tape full boxes as needed (Box Runner/Taper).
