About The Position

Connect Housing Blocks is hiring a hands-on foreman to lead a crew building steel-framed apartment buildings in a large, state-of-the-art indoor construction facility. The role combines traditional construction trades with modern off-site building methods and involves working alongside the crew while directing daily construction activities. The foreman assigns work, coaches team members, and ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards. The position offers stable, year-round indoor work with no travel, no overnight projects, no weather delays, and the employee home every night. The schedule is Friday through Monday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in a production or commercial construction environment, skilled trades, or a related construction environment.
Previous experience leading crews while actively performing the work.
Strong understanding of construction methods, tools, and materials.
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a safe, productive work environment.

Responsibilities

Lead daily construction activities while working alongside the crew.
Perform hands-on construction work and demonstrate proper techniques and craftsmanship.
Assign daily tasks and ensure work is organized and completed efficiently.
Train, coach, and mentor team members on construction methods and safety practices.
Monitor progress, quality, and workmanship throughout the build process.
Identify and resolve issues that affect safety, quality, or schedule.
Maintain accountability for safety standards, company procedures, and team performance.
