About The Position

Since 2009, we've sustained an impressive 40% year-over-year growth and now operate from our 84,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled production facility in Sunbury, PA. Fresh Roasted Coffee is seeking a hands-on, dependable Production Floor Supervisor to help lead daily operations across our production floor. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, communicates well with people, and can keep production moving efficiently throughout the day. This is not a desk job - the Production Floor Supervisor will spend the majority of their time on the production floor supporting workflow, coordinating employees, and helping solve day-to-day operational challenges.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of experience in a production environment
  • Previous quality management experience
  • 3+ years of prior supervisory experience
  • Forklift experience required
  • Strong communication and leadership presence
  • Ability to stay organized and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Someone who is proactive, dependable, and comfortable directing workflow
  • Ability to handle conflict professionally and maintain accountability on the floor

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily production activities across multiple departments
  • Help keep production running on schedule and communicate priorities throughout the shift
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for production employees
  • Coordinate breaks and lunches to maintain operational coverage
  • Troubleshoot production slowdowns and escalate issues when needed
  • Verification of quality at startup of production orders on orders
  • Inspection of product through the run and signing off on quality at the end of production
  • Work towards learning packaging machinery to be able to fill in as needed
  • Coordinates job coverage for employees due to PTO and overtime and readily prepares to offer job coverage as needed
  • Plans for employee training, development, and cross-training
  • Provide on time, reliable data to Production Management on quality, downtime, rework, and equipment problems
  • Completes Performance Reviews for associates in a timely manner
  • Be present in the plant in a proactive, helpful manner to ensure processes are aligned and functioning at expected levels
  • Reinforce workplace expectations, attendance standards, and production procedures
  • Assist with onboarding and training support for new employees
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by manager
