About The Position

Warby Parker is hiring a Production Floor Associate to support first-shift operations at its optical lab in Sloatsburg, New York. The role contributes to the company’s in-house lab and supply chain by completing production tasks in one of several areas: Picking, Packing and Shipping, Final Inspection, or Mounting. Applicants are asked to indicate their preferred area in their application.

Requirements

At least one year of relevant work or internship experience.
Able to work as a team player and do what is needed to get the job done right.
Positive and self-motivated.
Efficient communicator, both online and offline.
Highly attentive and organized.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Capable of standing and/or walking for up to 10 hours.
Able to push, pull, squat, bend, and reach with or without reasonable accommodation.
Not listed on the Office of Inspector General's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

Responsibilities

Print, fold, and sort work order tickets.
Pick inventory, including trays, lenses, and frames.
Operate a frame tracer.
Assemble kits for orders and package them for shipment.
Create and attach mailing labels.
Print order invoices.
Use a lensometer to verify lens power and compliance with ANSI standards.
Perform final visual quality inspections before products are packaged and shipped.
Identify and report defects.
Pick jobs, clean and inspect lenses, and mount lenses into frames.
Bench-align frames.
Perform final cleaning and inspect frame alignment.
