Requirements

  • Stand and walk for most of an 8.5-hour shift.
  • Make repetitive arm and hand motions at a steady, fast pace, such as loading, catching, folding and packing.
  • Lift, carry and move boxes of apparel and screens up to 50 lbs.
  • Bend, reach, twist and stoop throughout the shift.
  • Work near heat from industrial dryers, machine noise, and inks and cleaning chemicals, with required protective gear.
  • Run a pressure washer and work in wet conditions during screen cleaning.
  • Read invoices and focus on fine visual detail to catch defects and count items accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Pull and organize blank apparel for each order using the order invoice.
  • Inspect incoming and in-stock apparel for defects and check that quantities are correct.
  • Coordinate with the Inventory and Tagging teams so every item is accounted for.
  • Help with monthly inventory counts.
  • Help run an automatic screen-printing press by loading shirts onto it and moving printed shirts onto the dryer.
  • Break down screens after each job.
  • Spot print issues, such as debris in the ink or crooked prints, and report them to the Press Operator.
  • Follow press safety procedures.
  • Catch finished apparel as it comes off the dryer.
  • Check each job against the invoice for the correct garment, ink color, item number (SKU) and quantity.
  • Inspect prints for stains, ink bleeds, pinholes and other defects using Sunday Cool’s quality standards.
  • Complete job confirmation sheets and log any misprinted or wasted shirts.
  • Build shipping boxes, then pack each order neatly in Sunday Cool branded boxes.
  • Clean ink off screens, squeegees and other press tools, and recycle leftover ink.
  • Remove tape and stencil coating from screens with chemical soaks and a pressure washer so they can be reused.
  • Rotate between positions based on daily production needs.
  • Keep every workstation clean, organized and safe.
  • Work overtime or weekends when needed, especially during peak season (May through July).
