About The Position
The Production Floater supports multiple departments throughout the manufacturing facility to ensure efficient production operations. This position assists various areas including welding, machine, assembly paint, shipping and receiving. The Production Floater performs general labor duties, material handling, product preparation, equipment operation, and other production support tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
- Forklift operation experience
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn multiple departments
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, bend, and work on feet for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or shop environment
- Ability to use hands and arms for repetitive tasks
- Industrial/manufacturing setting
- Exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Responsibilities
- Support daily operations across multiple production departments as needed
- Grind, clean, and prepare parts for fabrication, painting, or assembly
- Assist welders, machine operators, assemblers, and paint personnel with production activities
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move materials and finished products throughout the facility
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with company safety standards
- Inspect materials and products for quality and report issues to supervisors
- Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and work instructions
- Assist with inventory movement and material staging
- Perform general labor and housekeeping duties through the facility
- Complete other duties and special projects as assigned by management
