About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Production Equipment Maintenance Technician to join the A&I Production Equipment Maintenance Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on Variable shift. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC (BSC). Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or fabrication
  • 1+ year of experience repairing production manufacturing equipment
  • 1+ year of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design)
  • 1+ year of experience working with Digital Volt Meters (DVM), Oscilloscopes, AC/DC Power supplies, Frequency Generators, and/or Power Meters
  • 1+ year of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Availability to work variable shifts, with the understanding that your assigned shift will not be confirmed until after training

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or fabrication
  • 3+ year of experience repairing production manufacturing equipment
  • 3+ year of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design)
  • 3+ year of experience working with Digital Volt Meters (DVM), Oscilloscopes, AC/DC Power supplies, Frequency Generators, and/or Power Meters
  • 3+ year of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to maintain a periodic maintenance program in a production environment

Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance on factory equipment
  • Troubleshoots, analyzes, inspects, disassembles, rebuilds, modifies and tests factory machinery and equipment as necessary using knowledge in areas such as mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Uses and interprets advanced blueprints and schematics to maintain and repair equipment
  • Responds to requests for equipment repair
  • Maintains and manages component and replacement part inventories
  • Works under limited supervision
