Requirements

  • Completion of high school and post – secondary education in Engineering. Min. 2-year technician level.
  • Minimum one year of previous experience in manufacturing environment required
  • Knowledge of automotive assembly process and equipment required
  • Good communication skills (both written and spoken)
  • Willingness to go above and strive for continuous improvement
  • Must be quality minded, safety conscious and reliable.
  • Must be self-motivated and have ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

Nice To Haves

  • Vision cameras programming experience
  • Controls programming (PLC, Python, Ignition) experience is an asset
  • AutoCAD experience is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Owns Implementation of vision-based error proofing plan
  • Determines requirements by working with vendors and/or internal resources
  • Ensures cameras incorporated into table/fixture designs
  • Installation and programming of cameras
  • Validation of camera programs
  • Support maintenance through life of program should any issues arise
  • Provides feedback into standardized work and/or creates SWI as required
  • Support process flow/FMEA development activities, plant layout updates and equipment run off activities
  • Provide support to Industrial Engineer, Nesting installation, HD protection, supports new area setup
