Requirements
- Completion of high school and post – secondary education in Engineering. Min. 2-year technician level.
- Minimum one year of previous experience in manufacturing environment required
- Knowledge of automotive assembly process and equipment required
- Good communication skills (both written and spoken)
- Willingness to go above and strive for continuous improvement
- Must be quality minded, safety conscious and reliable.
- Must be self-motivated and have ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proven analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Nice To Haves
- Vision cameras programming experience
- Controls programming (PLC, Python, Ignition) experience is an asset
- AutoCAD experience is an asset
Responsibilities
- Owns Implementation of vision-based error proofing plan
- Determines requirements by working with vendors and/or internal resources
- Ensures cameras incorporated into table/fixture designs
- Installation and programming of cameras
- Validation of camera programs
- Support maintenance through life of program should any issues arise
- Provides feedback into standardized work and/or creates SWI as required
- Support process flow/FMEA development activities, plant layout updates and equipment run off activities
- Provide support to Industrial Engineer, Nesting installation, HD protection, supports new area setup
