About The Position

As the Production Engineering Specialist, you will drive the reliability, performance, and continuity of a high‑volume manufacturing environment by owning critical plant systems, delivering hands‑on technical support, and leading onsite technology operations. This role is contributing to the success of the ABB Busway business in Selmer, TN. The work model for the role is: Onsite in Selmer, TN.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in any relevant field.
  • Strong hands‑on technical troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network environments.
  • 1+ years experience supporting manufacturing or industrial systems is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate clearly, and take ownership of issues through resolution.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that permits employment with ABB in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Own and support critical daily systems including Boschert, Busway Configurator, TrueChem/Chemlab, plant wireless networks and scanners, Kantech badge/access control, and site computers—handling imaging, software installs, troubleshooting, deployments, and full lifecycle support, while coordinating vendor/enterprise escalations and maintaining ticket ownership.
  • Provide comprehensive onsite IT support by taking ownership of urgent plant incidents, ensuring rapid response and resolution, and delivering broad technical coverage across production and office environments.
  • Manage endpoint and infrastructure operations including device imaging, software deployment, workstation setup, and ongoing troubleshooting, with accountability for all site PCs and end-user systems.
  • Lead network and wireless performance efforts through configuration, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to ensure reliable plant connectivity and operational continuity.
  • Support facility expansion and continuous improvement initiatives by assisting with new facility setup and equipment relocation, building plant and office workstations, leveraging tools such as SAP, L2QS, AutoCAD, Creo, and Easy Label, and evaluating new process technologies to drive productivity, quality, and cost optimization.
