About The Position

The Production Engineer supports the Udel production department by troubleshooting complex daily operational issues and monitoring unit performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 0-3 years of experience required in chemical manufacturing
  • Technical knowledge of chemical plant unit operations and processes
  • Ability to lead and collaborate in problem-solving and root-cause investigation
  • Ability to support and influence continuous improvement
  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel)
  • Strong customer and service orientation
  • Collaboration and team leadership
  • Process and Technology knowledge and expertise
  • Technical rules and regulations
  • Documentation and systems approach
  • Conceptual thinking & Analytical thinking

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the day-to-day performance of the site Utilities.
  • Develop, propose, implement and/or follow up on process and facility improvements involved in ongoing operations (variable cost, productivity, quality, HSE, reliability, maintenance…)
  • Manage the implementation of improvements to site utility systems.
  • Develop and maintain written documentation about the ongoing utilities processes and the facilities.
  • Follow up technological developments within own domain of expertise through a network of technological informants
  • Provide support in development of budget proposals.
  • Provide support to the utility construction projects.
  • Assist with preparation and when appropriate; delivery, of technical training for employees
  • Track, document, analysis and prepare reports for OEE.
  • Develop and propose countermeasures for potential improvements
