About The Position

This role is responsible for managing, coaching, and directing Off Line Team Leaders (OLTs). Key responsibilities include process, product, and tooling development and improvement, including product launch. The engineer will perform trials to validate new product designs, troubleshoot processes and lines to eliminate downtime, and conduct improvement/failure product analysis. Additionally, the role involves modifying/creating manufacturing documents for new/improved products and processes, building and designing prototype extrusion and machining tooling, and specifying/ordering tooling and components within budget. The position also requires assisting in statistical analysis for Quality projects, maintaining operational qualifications, standards, and procedures, and managing paperwork, project presentations, and due dates.

Requirements

Degree in an engineering field (MET / ME)
1 year of aluminum extrusion experience
Ability to read & create technical drawings
Experience with aluminum alloys (prefer hard alloy 7000, 3000 series)
TPS/Lean Manufacturing experience

ISO/TS 16949 experience

Responsibilities
