You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Engineering.
  • 2+ years of engineering experience in a chemical processing or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with troubleshooting, optimizing, and supporting DCS-based control strategies as part of daily operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in a chemical processing or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Honeywell, Emerson, Yokogawa, or similar industrial DCS platforms.
  • Process Safety Management (PSM) experience.
  • Experience with Data Historian platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the unit’s technology, equipment and process control, providing subject matter expertise to the unit.
  • Work with other technical roles and plant personnel to meet business and plant goals.
  • Support and follows the work process and standard work practices required by the site and unit.
  • Ensure the required operating discipline, best practices and technology is implemented to optimize and improve unit performance and production.
  • Improve unit operating discipline and plant operating procedures.
  • Implement Management of Change (MOC) as necessary.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and facilitates training of operating personnel in trouble shooting skills.
  • Network with reliability, maintenance and improvement engineers to resolve issues, identify improvement opportunities, and leverage technology and best practices into the unit.
  • As requested, train and communicate process technology and technical information to plant personnel.
  • Lead and contribute as required in root cause investigations for unplanned events per site and unit guidelines and requirements.
  • Lead and support targeted process and productivity improvement teams.
  • Understand and apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) technology.
  • Understand and close unit asset utilization operational performance gaps.
  • Maintain a personal development plan with guidance from leadership to continuously learn and develop.
  • Lead and support troubleshooting process issues including DCS alarms, logic, and control issues, collaborating closely with operations and controls personnel.
