Requirements

  • Professional with working knowledge and experience within own discipline and developing understanding of related disciplines, completing specialized tasks under moderate supervision.
  • Requires experience and knowledge in own job discipline and basic understanding of related job disciplines gained through on the job experience or advanced education.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred candidates will hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering, as these disciplines most closely align with the technical and operational requirements of the role.
  • Applicants from other STEM fields (e.g., materials science, industrial engineering, or related disciplines) will also be considered, provided they demonstrate relevant experience and transferable skills applicable to the position.
  • Emphasis will be placed on practical experience, problem-solving capability, and alignment with the core responsibilities of the role over strict adherence to a specific degree background.

Responsibilities

  • Performs engineering work in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments.
  • Designs and scales manufacturing processes, instruments and equipment and tests manufactured products to maintain quality.
  • Plans, designs and estimates time and cost and oversees construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, systems and components.
  • Analyzes and develops solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures.
  • Develops and applies engineering standards and procedures and provides advice on issues within the engineering field.
  • Provides process, materials, and/or equipment engineering support to manufacturing operations to maintain production performance or restore process capability.
  • Provides manufacturing support and recognized as the initial point of contact for process troubleshooting.
  • Provides support for the day-to-day operations within the established capability of the asset and leads operations teams in root cause analysis and problem solving.
  • Participates as part of a team to upgrade products and processes by designing and implementing capital and cost equipment upgrades, developing, and executing test authorizations, improving control strategies, and providing knowledge around current site and corporate standards.
  • Provides technical expertise in a technology area to manufacturing operations to maintain production performance or restore process capability.
