About The Position

Looking for a Production Engineer to work in and help improve/develop the LPE (Liquid Phase Epitaxy) process in our Easton, PA facility. Must be prepared to train for about 6 to 8 months at our Hillsborough, NJ facility at the start of employment. Coherent is a global leader in lasers, engineered materials and networking components. Requirements

Minimum: Bachelor’s in Engineering
Experience with CAD, Excel, Word, Access
Experience with both qualitative and quantitative data
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities
Experience handling chemicals and acids
Experience with precision measurement methods and systems
Experience working with fixtures, hand tools, and equipment controllers

Nice To Haves

Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Material Science Engineering

Responsibilities

Help with all production tasks associated with the LPE process
Perform crystal growth analysis
Dumping/make new production melts
Diagnose and troubleshoot any mechanical or electrical issues with LPE equipment
Assist with product improvement/development
Prepare and present technical reports
