About The Position

As a Production Engineer, you will support Asset Operations by ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance. In this role, you will serve as a key technical resource, applying your expertise in chemical processes and production systems to optimize unit performance, improve operating discipline, and maintain environmental compliance. You will work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, implement best practices, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 4 years of process and/or production engineering experience in chemical manufacturing.
  • Ability to successfully complete Lubrizol's Process Engineer Training Program.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging technology and process optimization.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement concepts and tools.
  • Strong written, interpersonal, planning, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and goals effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across all levels and departments.
  • Self-driven, goal-oriented mindset with strong influencing capability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise on unit technology, equipment, and process control.
  • Partner with technical and plant personnel to achieve business and operational goals.
  • Support site work processes and standard work practices to ensure operating discipline.
  • Implement best practices and technologies to optimize unit performance and production.
  • Improve operating discipline and plant operating procedures.
  • Initiate and support Management of Change (MOC) processes as required.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and train operating personnel in troubleshooting techniques.
  • Collaborate with reliability, maintenance, and improvement engineers to resolve issues and identify opportunities.
  • Train and communicate process technology and technical information to plant personnel.
  • Lead and contribute to root cause investigations for unplanned events.
  • Lead and support targeted process and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools to monitor and improve performance.
  • Identify and close unit asset utilization performance gaps.
  • Maintain a personal development plan to support continuous learning and growth.
