About The Position
NeoMetal is seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Production Engineer to optimize our manufacturing processes and ensure efficient production operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving production efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards, and reducing costs through process improvements and technology implementation. Requirements
- Proven experience in a production or manufacturing engineering role.
- 5+ years’ experience with demonstrated progression.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (ex: NetSuite) and production planning tools.
- Self-starter with strong initiative and demonstrated leadership ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Design, implement, and maintain production workflows and equipment.
- Increase operating available time through change-over process optimization (SMED).
- Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with the R&D and quality assurance teams to improve product quality and reduce production scrap.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives while sustaining quality.
- Troubleshoot production issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Train and support production staff on new processes and equipment and develop standardized work.
- Monitor production KPIs and prepare reports for management.
- Oversee and optimize manufacturing processes that results in enhanced capability, productivity and efficiency.
- Contribute to development and sustaining effort of manufacturing KPI’s.
- Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
