About The Position

As a Production Engineer/Technical Advisor, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, you will directly impact the safe, efficient, environmentally compliant and reliable operations of our TempRite® CPVC resin production unit. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life.

Requirements

  • BS in an Engineering discipline, Chemical Engineering is preferred.
  • 5 or more years of experience in Production in a Chemical Manufacturing Facility.
  • 2 years of Co-op experience is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with PI Data Historian, SAP, Seeq software, a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the unit’s technology, equipment and process control, to providing subject matter expertise to the unit
  • Ensure the required operating discipline, best practices and technology is implemented to optimize and improve unit safety, performance and production.
  • Build the technical competencies of operators by sharing process knowledge, equipment functionality and performance, problem-solving thought process and techniques, and experience.
  • Assist operators with troubleshooting process and equipment technical performance issues.
  • Network with maintenance, reliability, and process improvement plant personnel to resolve mechanical and operational issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to updating and improving the unit’s operating discipline and procedures.
  • Lead and contribute to root cause investigations and action plans for unplanned department events.
  • Understand and apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) technology.
  • Initiate MOC’s as necessary.
  • Understand and close unit asset utilization operational performance gaps on a daily basis.
  • Maintain a personal development plan with guidance from leadership to continuously learn and develop.
