About The Position

Production Engineer is responsible for improving productivity and profit at plant and drive quality improvement through root cause analysis, ensure products are manufactured in compliance with customer specifications, safety standards and design specifications.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
• Completed at least 2 years of academic coursework
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Team-oriented with a proactive and self-motivated attitude

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with PowerPoint, Word, and AutoCAD
• Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or quality tools
• Exposure to PLCs, vision systems, or manufacturing automation
• Prior co-op or internship experience in a production or technical environment

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and analyzing production line performance (cycle time, downtime, efficiency)
• Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, root cause analysis)
• Participate in data collection and reporting of key production metrics
• Help troubleshoot production issues in collaboration with production and maintenance teams
• Work on specific projects such as vision sensor analysis, process layout improvement, or defect trend analysis
• Document work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and engineering reports
• Attend team meetings and present project progress or findings
