About The Position

Signtech is seeking a Sign Detailer / Engineer to join their engineering team in San Diego, CA. This full-time role involves creating custom signs for various clients, from national banks to restaurants and retail. The company emphasizes in-house production and offers opportunities for career growth and impact. The position is on-site, Monday-Friday, and focuses on custom projects.

Requirements

• 2+ years in signage, metal fabrication, or related detailing/engineering.
• Strong SolidWorks skills.
• Skilled in CAD and CNC programming.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans.
• Eye for detail and a true team-first mindset.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with CorelDRAW, LED Wizard, Neon Wizard, and FlexiSIGN.
• Strong technical and mechanical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft detailed fabrication/shop drawings.
• Program CNC router files (EnRoute).
• Build 3D assemblies in SolidWorks that bring custom signage to life.
• Collaborate closely with design, fabrication, and install teams.
• Select materials & fastening methods to meet specs and code.
• Adjust drawings as needed from the field or permitting.
