About The Position

Anthem is seeking a Production Designer for Architectural Design at Alberta House Building in Calgary. This role is responsible for Anthem's production design deliverables and will be an integral part of a team of Architectural Technologists and Permitting Specialists. The ideal candidate will be adept in bylaw research with a current understanding of local land use bylaws in Calgary and Edmonton, maintain Anthem's high standards for quality and homeowner experience, craft superior plot plans, and provide guidance on best practices for site planning and lot grading. This role also involves liaising with city partners, maintaining positive relationships with industry officials, sub-trades, and suppliers, and staying current on code, bylaws, and industry changes.

Requirements

  • A post-secondary degree in Architectural Technologies, Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of residential construction industry experience
  • Direct single family production builder experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office products
  • Strong organizational skills and are extremely detail-oriented
  • Proven experience with project cost controls and maintaining set budgets

  • Responsible for Anthems production design deliverables
  • Be an integral part of a team of Architectural Technologists and Permitting Specialists that consistently achieves results
  • Be adept in bylaw research with a current understanding of the local land use bylaws in both the Calgary and Edmonton regions
  • Maintain Anthems high standards for quality and homeowner experience by providing consistent, accurate plans while building a team geared toward excellence
  • Craft superior plot plans and provide guidance on best practices around site planning and lot grading
  • Liaise with city partners regarding code, bylaw, or application concerns and questions
  • Maintain positive relationships with industry officials, sub trades and suppliers
  • Keep current on code, bylaws, and industry changes by attending industry seminars, information sessions, product demonstrations, engineering and other courses
